Knowing The Caribbean History By Going On A Caribbean Cruise

Whenever somebody tells you that he is going to the Caribbean Islands, you will picture in your mind the beautiful beaches, laid back lifestyle, and palm trees. You dream about going to the shore and drink rhum with your beautiful girlfriend beside you. The Caribbean includes the islands of Cuba, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Puerto Rico, and the Bahamas.

Native inhabitants ere a mixture of Ameridian, African, and European. Caribbean history tells us that the natives were into gold as early as the 1400s, and, as a matter of fact, they crafted golden masks, belts, and other golden accessories. Women and children panned gold in the rivers and lakes within the islands while the men would fish for their daily sustenance.

When Christopher Columbus arrived sometime in the 1600s, he came across two natives who possessed a golden mask and a golden belt. This led him to go back and send reinforcements to conquer the Caribbean Islands. The history of the Caribbean includes tales of slavery, power struggles, war, and colonization. However, these days, tourists from all over the world go to the Caribbean not for their gold or to colonize them, but for their beautiful white sand beaches.

Each year, milliond of tourist come from different parts of the world to experience the Caribbean. If you go there, you can take your mind off the tensions of work and you can relax and allow your mind to be filled with the soothing sound of the waves. Some people visit the Bahamas to meet girls because foreigners visit the place and there is a diverse group of women also out to meet men.

You can take a cruise of the Caribbean Islands by going island hopping. You can book these trips even before you leave the city so that by the time you get to the island, you will already have everything planned out. If you do this, you will have fun and amazing activities during the length of your stay.
