My wife and I have always wanted to go to the Caribbean Islands for a vacation. But we have not had the time for the past 5 years since we were both very busy. My wife works as a call center agent taking the morning shift, and I am taking the graveyard shift, so, basically, our bonding time would only be during breakfast. While she works during the day, I sleep at home, and when I go out during nights to work, she gets her beauty sleep.

This is actually very effective because once your body sets its own body clock, you can turn night into day and day into night. This means that even if you work during nights, you would not feel the least bit sleepy.
So there, we have never taken our vacation leave because it is senseless to take a vacation without taking your partner with you. You would not have someone to share the sunrise and the sunset with. You will not have somebody to share the beauty of the beaches with. It is after 5 long years that we finally had the same vacation leave days. We booked a flight to the West Indies.
