Books that wrap you up in their story are what most people strive to find. Books that you can't tear yourself away from until the very last page. Good spy novels never disappoint people who are looking for those qualities. Even though every story is different, they all have common components. good spy novels

A skillful author knows that the leading role must be played by someone who is dynamic and able to outwit a demonic and equally intelligent rival. Adding real-life characteristics to the mix creates a character that is endearing and accepted by readers. It doesn't matter if the hero has a few martinis for lunch, as long as he completes his mission.

Just as important as the main character, his opponents must be strong too. They are not there to make friends with the reader, but they must provide worthy conflict to uphold interest. A capable writer can use the cunning antagonist to make his protagonist even more likable and at the same time, the story more exciting.

No espionage thriller would be complete without a daring assignment for the main character to accomplish. It was easy pickings for writers during the Cold War with the Soviet Union. Spies were needed to get information from the enemy and save mankind from atomic weapons. While the KGB is no longer a threat, terrorist are.

The series of events in the story are what create the conflict and pace. It is imperative that the author plan the storyline carefully so it doesn't get too confusing or, on the other hand, boring. Readers who enjoy books of espionage want a strong main plot with enough nail-biting twists to keep the story unpredictable to the end.

When the authors of good spy novels combine all the compulsory ingredients with their writing skills, the results are outstanding. Just when the world thought there were no more stories to be told, talented writers come up with even better ones. There really is no end to important missions for great secret agents.
